THE DEFINITIVE REAGANCORE
Reagancore: Music produced between 1980 and 1989 discussing themes concurrent with concerns and fears directly caused or attributed to Ronald Reagan’s presidency. This mix touches on fears of mutually assured destruction, nuclear power, consumerism, poverty, government, and ideological conflict. If you have any tracks you believe should be added, please comment with the title and artist in the 8tracks comments! I’d like this to be a running work cataloging this music. I didn’t put much “punk” music in because the library of work to look through was too big for this project to start out. Instead, I focused on the songs in pop culture that fit this theme.
